Description6-(1,1-Dimethylallyl)naringenin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavanones. Flavanones are compounds containing a flavan-3-one moiety, with a structure characterized by a 2-phenyl-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran bearing a ketone at the carbon C3. Thus, 6-(1,1-dimethylallyl)naringenin is considered to be a flavonoid. (2S)-5,7,4'-Trihydroxy-6-(1,1-dimethylallyl)flavanone is found in Monotes engleri. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 6-(1,1-dimethylallyl)naringenin.
