DescriptionQuercetin 7-methyl ether 3-gentiobioside belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-3-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Thus, quercetin 7-methyl ether 3-gentiobioside is considered to be a flavonoid. 2-(3,4-Dihydroxyphenyl)-3-[(6-O-beta-D-glucopyranosyl-beta-D-glucopyranosyl)oxy]-5-hydroxy-7-methoxy-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one is found in Cassia fistula . Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Quercetin 7-methyl ether 3-gentiobioside.
