| Description | 6-Hydroxykaempferol 6-methyl ether 3-(6''-p-coumaroylglucoside) belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid 3-o-p-coumaroyl glycosides. These are flavonoid 3-O-glycosides where the carbohydrate moiety is esterified with a p-coumaric acid. P-coumaric acid is an organic derivative of cinnamic acid, that carries a hydroxyl group at the 4-position of the benzene ring. Thus, 6-hydroxykaempferol 6-methyl ether 3-(6''-p-coumaroylglucoside) is considered to be a flavonoid. 5,7-Dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-3-[[6-O-[(2E)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)-1-oxo-2-propenyl]-beta-D-glucopyranosyl]oxy]-6-methoxy-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one is found in Actinocephalus polyanthus, Paepalanthus denudatus, Paepalanthus hilairei, Paepalanthus polyanthus, Paepalanthus ramosus and Paepalanthus robustus. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 6-hydroxykaempferol 6-methyl ether 3-(6''-p-coumaroylglucoside). |
