Description6,7-Dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-4H-chromen-4-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 3'-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C3' atom of the flavonoid backbone. Thus, 6,7-dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-4H-chromen-4-one is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 6,7-Dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-4H-1-benzopyran-4-one is found in Artemisia giraldii. 6,7-Dihydroxy-2-(4-hydroxy-3,5-dimethoxyphenyl)-4H-chromen-4-one is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
