These are organic compounds containing at least two flavan/flavone units. These units are usually linked through CC or C-O-C bonds. Some examples include C2-O-C3, C2-O-C4, C3'-C3''', and C6-C8''. [2R-(2alpha,8beta,14alpha)]-2,8-bis(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-11-(beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-2,3-dihydro-5,13-dihydroxy-8,14-methano-4H,14H-1-benzopyrano[7,8-d][1,3]benzodioxocin-4-one is found in Sarcophyte piriei. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,5R,13R)-5,13-bis(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-9,19-dihydroxy-17-{[(2S,3S,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-4,12,14-trioxapentacyclo[11.7.1.0²,¹¹.0³,⁸.0¹⁵,²⁰]Henicosa-2(11),3(8),9,15,17,19-hexaen-7-one. |
