| Description | (1R,2R,5S,6S,9R,10S,12S,14S)-10-hydroxy-5,9,14-trimethyl-3,13-dioxatetracyclo[7.5.0.0²,⁶.0¹²,¹⁴]Tetradecan-4-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as eudesmanolides, secoeudesmanolides, and derivatives. These are terpenoids with a structure based on the eudesmanolide (a 3,5a,9-trimethyl-naphtho[1,2-b]furan-2-one derivative) or secoeudesmanolide (a 3,6-dimethyl-5-(pentan-2-yl)-1-benzofuran-2-one derivative) skeleton. Decahydro-3-hydroxy-3a,6,8c-trimethyloxireno[7,8]naphtho[1,2-b]furan-7(2H)-one is found in Artemisia fragrans. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1R,2R,5S,6S,9R,10S,12S,14S)-10-hydroxy-5,9,14-trimethyl-3,13-dioxatetracyclo[7.5.0.0²,⁶.0¹²,¹⁴]Tetradecan-4-one. |
