| Description | (3S)-4alpha-Isopropyl-3alpha,5beta,6alpha-trihydroxy-1-(hydroxymethyl)-1-cyclohexene belongs to the class of organic compounds known as menthane monoterpenoids. These are monoterpenoids with a structure based on the o-, m-, or p-menthane backbone. P-menthane consists of the cyclohexane ring with a methyl group and a (2-methyl)-propyl group at the 1 and 4 ring position, respectively. The o- and m- menthanes are much rarer, and presumably arise by alkyl migration of p-menthanes. [1R-(1alpha,2beta,3alpha,4alpha)]-6-(hydroxymethyl)-3-(1-methylethyl)-5-Cyclohexene-1,2,4-triol is found in Sphaeranthus bullatus . Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3S)-4alpha-Isopropyl-3alpha,5beta,6alpha-trihydroxy-1-(hydroxymethyl)-1-cyclohexene. |
