| Description | 5,7-Dihydroxy-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2H-chromen-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as neoflavones. These are neoflavonoids with a structure based on the 4-phenylcoumarin skeleton. Thus, 5,7-dihydroxy-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2H-chromen-2-one is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 5,7-Dihydroxy-4'-methoxy-4-phenylcoumarin is found in Echinops niveus. 5,7-Dihydroxy-4-(4-methoxyphenyl)-2H-chromen-2-one is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
