DescriptionNordalbergin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as neoflavones. These are neoflavonoids with a structure based on the 4-phenylcoumarin skeleton. Thus, nordalbergin is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 6,7-Dihydroxy-4-phenylcoumarin is found in Dalbergia odorifera and Dalbergia sissoo . Nordalbergin is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
