Common NameGarhwalin
DescriptionGarhwalin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as isoflavones. These are polycyclic compounds containing a 2-isoflavene skeleton which bears a ketone group at the C4 carbon atom. Thus, garhwalin is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. Garhwalin is found in Aloe vera , Arabidopsis thaliana, Bupleurum scorzonerifolium , Erycibe expansa , Erythroxylum ulei, Euonymus pendulus , Acca sellowiana and Sarcolobus globosus. Garhwalin is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
