| Description | Isojamaicin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as pyranoisoflavonoids. These are isoflavonoids that contain a pyran ring fused to either of the A, B, or C ring of the isoflavonoid skeleton. Thus, isojamaicin is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 3'-Methoxy-4',5'-methylenedioxy-6'',6''-dimethylpyrano[2'',3'':7,8]isoflavone is found in Millettia dura and Millettia ferruginea . Isojamaicin is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
