| Common Name | 5-Hydroxy-6,7,3',4'-tetramethoxyisoflavone |
|---|
| Description | Belamcandin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 7-o-methylisoflavones. These are isoflavones with methoxy groups attached to the C7 atom of the isoflavone backbone. Thus, belamcandin is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 5-Hydroxy-6,7,3',4'-tetramethoxyisoflavone is found in Belamcanda chinensis . Belamcandin is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
