Description6-Methoxyorobol 7-methyl ether belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 7-o-methylisoflavones. These are isoflavones with methoxy groups attached to the C7 atom of the isoflavone backbone. Thus, 6-methoxyorobol 7-methyl ether is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 5,3',4'-Trihydroxy-6,7-dimethoxyisoflavone is found in Wyethia reticulata. 6-Methoxyorobol 7-methyl ether is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
