Common Name7-Prenyloxy-3',4'-dimethoxyisoflavone
Description7-Prenyloxy-3',4'-dimethoxyisoflavone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 4'-o-methylisoflavones. These are isoflavones with methoxy groups attached to the C4' atom of the isoflavone backbone. Thus, 7-prenyloxy-3',4'-dimethoxyisoflavone is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 7-Prenyloxy-3',4'-dimethoxyisoflavone is found in Calopogonium mucunoides. 7-Prenyloxy-3',4'-dimethoxyisoflavone is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
