DescriptionRobustic acid, also known as robustate, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxyisoflavonoids. These are organic compounds containing an isoflavonoid skeleton carrying one or more hydroxyl groups. Robustic acid is found in Deguelia hatschbachii, Derris robusta, Erythrina indica , Millettia thonningii and Derris scandens . Robustic acid is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
