Common NameLicoisoflavone B
DescriptionLicoisoflavone b belongs to the class of organic compounds known as pyranoisoflavonoids. These are isoflavonoids that contain a pyran ring fused to either of the A, B, or C ring of the isoflavonoid skeleton. Thus, licoisoflavone b is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. Licoisoflavone B is found in Glycyrrhiza aspera, Glycyrrhiza glabra , Glycyrrhiza inflata , Glycyrrhiza spp., Glycyrrhiza uralensis , Lupinus albus , Lupinus angustifolius, Sophora moorcroftiana, Ulex airensis and Ulex europaeus subsp. europaeus . Licoisoflavone b is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
