These are isoflavones with methoxy groups attached to the C7 atom of the isoflavone backbone. Thus, 7,4'-di-O-methyltectorigenin is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 5-Hydroxy-6,7,4'-trimethoxyisoflavone is found in Dalbergia sissoo . 7,4'-Di-o-methyltectorigenin is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
