Natural Product Identification
Common NameCalopogoniumisoflavone A
DescriptionCalopogoniumisoflavone a belongs to the class of organic compounds known as pyranoisoflavonoids. These are isoflavonoids that contain a pyran ring fused to either of the A, B, or C ring of the isoflavonoid skeleton. Thus, calopogoniumisoflavone a is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. Calopogoniumisoflavone A is found in Calopogonium mucunoides and Millettia dura. Calopogoniumisoflavone a is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
