| Description | 7,8-Dimethoxy-3-(6-methoxy-2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-4H-chromen-4-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 7-o-methylisoflavones. These are isoflavones with methoxy groups attached to the C7 atom of the isoflavone backbone. Thus, 7,8-dimethoxy-3-(6-methoxy-2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-4H-chromen-4-one is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 7,8,2'-Trimethoxy-4',5'-methylenedioxyisoflavone is found in Pterodon apparicioi and Tephrosia maxima. 7,8-Dimethoxy-3-(6-methoxy-2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-4H-chromen-4-one is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
