| Common Name | Cladrastin |
|---|
| Description | Cladrastin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 4'-o-methylisoflavones. These are isoflavones with methoxy groups attached to the C4' atom of the isoflavone backbone. Thus, cladrastin is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. Cladrastin is found in Bowdichia virgilioides, Cladrastis kentukea, Cladrastis platycarpa, Cladrastis sikokiana and Millettia pachyloba. Cladrastin is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
