These are flavonoid 5-O-glycosides where the carbohydrate moiety is esterified with a p-coumaric acid. P-coumaric acid is an organic derivative of cinnamic acid, that carries a hydroxyl group at the 4-position of the benzene ring. Catechin 5-O-(2-feruloyl-6-p-coumaroyl-beta-D-glucopyranoside) is found in Cinnamomum obtusifolium. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on [(2R,3S,4S,5S,6S)-6-{[(2R,3S)-2-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-3,7-dihydroxy-3,4-dihydro-2H-1-benzopyran-5-yl]oxy}-3,4-dihydroxy-5-{[3-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)prop-2-enoyl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]methyl (2E)-3-(4-hydroxyphenyl)prop-2-enoate. |
