These are a form of normal dihydrochalcones that are structurally distinguished by the lack of oxygen functionalities at the C2'- and C6'-positions. Thus, 5'-prenyllicodione is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 5'-Prenyllicodione is found in Glycyrrhiza echinata , Glycyrrhiza eurycarpa and Glycyrrhiza inflata . 5'-Prenyllicodione is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
