Description7-Hydroxy-5-(beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-3-[6-O-[(E)-3-[3-(beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-4-hydroxyphenyl]propenoyl]-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy]-1-benzopyrylium belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid 3-o-p-coumaroyl glycosides. These are flavonoid 3-O-glycosides where the carbohydrate moiety is esterified with a p-coumaric acid. P-coumaric acid is an organic derivative of cinnamic acid, that carries a hydroxyl group at the 4-position of the benzene ring. Thus, 7-hydroxy-5-(beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-3-[6-O-[(e)-3-[3-(beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-4-hydroxyphenyl]propenoyl]-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy]-1-benzopyrylium is considered to be a flavonoid. Peonidin 3-[6-(3-glucosylcaffeyl)glucoside]-5-glucoside is found in Arabidopsis thaliana and Ipomoea nil . Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on 7-Hydroxy-5-(beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-2-(4-hydroxy-3-methoxyphenyl)-3-[6-O-[(E)-3-[3-(beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy)-4-hydroxyphenyl]propenoyl]-beta-D-glucopyranosyloxy]-1-benzopyrylium.
