Natural Product Identification
Common Name4'-O-Methylpuerarin
DescriptionPuerarin 4'-methyl ether belongs to the class of organic compounds known as isoflavonoid c-glycosides. These are c-glycosylated derivatives of isoflavonoids, which are natural products derived from 3-phenylchromen-4-one. Thus, puerarin 4'-methyl ether is considered to be a flavonoid. 4'-O-Methylpuerarin is found in Pueraria lobata , Pueraria sp. and Pueraria thomsonii . Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Puerarin 4'-methyl ether.
