Common NamePhellatin
DescriptionPhellatin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C7-position. Thus, phellatin is considered to be a flavonoid. Phellatin is found in Phellodendron amurense , Phellodendron lavallei, Phellodendron sachalinense and Punica granatum . Phellatin was first documented in 2013 (PMID: 23656584). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on Phellatin.
