Description3,5,8-Trimethoxy-6,7:3',4'-Bis(methylenedioxy)flavone belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 8-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C8 atom of the flavonoid backbone. Thus, 3,5,8-trimethoxy-6,7:3',4'-Bis(methylenedioxy)flavone is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 3,5,8-Trimethoxy-6,7:3',4'-bis(methylenedioxy)flavone is found in Comptonella microcarpa, Melicope indica, Melicope subunifoliolata and Melicope triphylla. 3,5,8-Trimethoxy-6,7:3',4'-Bis(methylenedioxy)flavone is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
