Description6-C-methylquercetin 3-methyl ether belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 3-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C3 atom of the flavonoid backbone. Thus, 6-c-methylquercetin 3-methyl ether is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 6-C-Methylquercetin 3-methyl ether is found in Piliostigma reticulatum, Piliostigma thonningii , Vellozia phalocarpa and Xerophyta retinervis . 6-C-methylquercetin 3-methyl ether is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
