Description3',5,7-Trihydroxy-3,4',5'-trimethoxyflavone, also known as myricetin 3,3',4'-trimethylether, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 4'-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C4' atom of the flavonoid backbone. Thus, 3',5,7-trihydroxy-3,4',5'-trimethoxyflavone is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. A trimethoxyflavone that is myricetin in which the hydroxy groups at position 3, 4' and 5' have been replaced by methoxy groups. Myricetin 3,3',4'-trimethyl ether is found in Cistus monspeliensis, Haplopappus integerrimus and Persicaria lapathifolia. 3',5,7-Trihydroxy-3,4',5'-trimethoxyflavone is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral.
