Description | 3-Methylherbacetin belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 3-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C3 atom of the flavonoid backbone. Thus, 3-methylherbacetin is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 3-Methylherbacetin is found in Baccharis pilularis, Ephedra sinica, Gutierrezia microcephala and Ozothamnus spp.. 3-Methylherbacetin is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
