| Common Name | Luteolin 7-glucuronosyl-(1->2)-glucuronide |
|---|
| Description | Luteolin 7-O-[beta-D-glucuronosyl-(1->2)-beta-D-glucuronide], also known as luteolin 7-O-beta-D-diglucuronide, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as benzonitriles. These are organic compounds containing a benzene bearing a nitrile substituent. These are compounds containing a carbohydrate moiety which is o-glycosidically linked to one of the flavonoid backbones (2-phenylchromen-4-one, 3-phenylchromen-4-one or 4-phenylcoumarin). Luteolin 7-O-[beta-D-glucuronosyl-(1->2)-beta-D-glucuronide] is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Luteolin 7-glucuronosyl-(1->2)-glucuronide is found in Elodea canadensis, Medicago truncatula, Perilla frutescens, Secale cereale and Verbena officinalis. Luteolin 7-O-[beta-D-glucuronosyl-(1->2)-beta-D-glucuronide] exists in all living organisms, ranging from bacteria to humans. |
