| Description | 5,7-Dihydroxy-2-(2-hydroxy-6-methoxyphenyl)-8-methoxy-4H-chromen-4-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as 8-o-methylated flavonoids. These are flavonoids with methoxy groups attached to the C8 atom of the flavonoid backbone. Thus, 5,7-dihydroxy-2-(2-hydroxy-6-methoxyphenyl)-8-methoxy-4H-chromen-4-one is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. 5,7,2'-Trihydroxy-8,6'-dimethoxyflavone is found in Lagochilus leiacanthus and Scutellaria baicalensis . 5,7-Dihydroxy-2-(2-hydroxy-6-methoxyphenyl)-8-methoxy-4H-chromen-4-one is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. |
