| Description | (1S,2S,5S,7S,10R,11S,14S,15R)-5-{[(2S,3R,4R,5R,6R)-3,4-dihydroxy-6-methyl-5-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-7,11-dihydroxy-15-methyl-14-(2-oxo-2H-pyran-5-yl)tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadecane-2-carbaldehyde belongs to the class of organic compounds known as bufanolides and derivatives. These are steroid lactones containing a pyran-2-one moiety linked to the C17 atom of a cyclopenta[a]phenanthrene derivative. Hellebrin is found in Helleborus foetidus , Helleborus niger , Helleborus purpurascens and Helleborus viridis . Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,2S,5S,7S,10R,11S,14S,15R)-5-{[(2S,3R,4R,5R,6R)-3,4-dihydroxy-6-methyl-5-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6S)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}oxan-2-yl]oxy}-7,11-dihydroxy-15-methyl-14-(2-oxo-2H-pyran-5-yl)tetracyclo[8.7.0.0²,⁷.0¹¹,¹⁵]Heptadecane-2-carbaldehyde. |
