| Description | {2-[(1S,2R,5S,9S,12S,16R)-2-hydroxy-1,5,12-trimethyl-11-oxo-10-oxatetracyclo[7.6.1.0²,⁷.0¹²,¹⁶]Hexadec-7-en-5-yl]ethoxy}sulfonic acid belongs to the class of organic compounds known as naphthofurans. Naphthofurans are compounds containing a furan ring fused to a naphthalene moiety. Furan is a 5 membered- ring aromatic ring with four carbon and one oxygen atoms. Naphthalene is a polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon made up of two fused benzene rings. Hymatoxin A is found in Hypoxylon mammatum and Populus tremuloides. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on {2-[(1S,2R,5S,9S,12S,16R)-2-hydroxy-1,5,12-trimethyl-11-oxo-10-oxatetracyclo[7.6.1.0²,⁷.0¹²,¹⁶]Hexadec-7-en-5-yl]ethoxy}sulfonic acid. |
