Description(2S,3S,4R,5S,6R)-2-{4-[(1S,3aR,4S,6aR)-4-(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-1-yl]-2-methoxyphenoxy}-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lignan glycosides. These are aromatic polycyclic compounds containing a carbohydrate component glycosidically linked to a lignan moiety. They include 1-aryltetralin lactones. Simplexoside is found in Tetradium daniellii and Justicia simplex. Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (2S,3S,4R,5S,6R)-2-{4-[(1S,3aR,4S,6aR)-4-(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)-hexahydrofuro[3,4-c]furan-1-yl]-2-methoxyphenoxy}-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxane-3,4,5-triol.
