| Description | (3S,4R)-4-[(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)methyl]-3-[(S)-{[(2R,3S,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methyl]oxolan-2-one belongs to the class of organic compounds known as lignan glycosides. These are aromatic polycyclic compounds containing a carbohydrate component glycosidically linked to a lignan moiety. They include 1-aryltetralin lactones. Podorhizol beta-D-glucoside is found in Podophyllum emodii, Podophyllum hexandrum and Podophyllum peltatum . Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (3S,4R)-4-[(2H-1,3-benzodioxol-5-yl)methyl]-3-[(S)-{[(2R,3S,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}(3,4,5-trimethoxyphenyl)methyl]oxolan-2-one. |
