Common NameDehydrodieugenol
DescriptionDehydrodieugenol belongs to the class of organic compounds known as biphenyls and derivatives. These are organic compounds containing to benzene rings linked together by a C-C bond. Dehydrodieugenol is found in Damburneya purpurea, Illicium dunnianum, Litsea turfosa, Ocimum tenuiflorum, Syzygium aromaticum and Virola surinamensis. Dehydrodieugenol was first documented in 2023 (PMID: 36762483). Dehydrodieugenol is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
