Common NameKaempferol 3-sophoroside 7-glucuronide
DescriptionKaempferol 3-sophoroside 7-glucuronide belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-7-o-glucuronides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to glucuronic acid at the C7-position. Kaempferol 3-sophoroside 7-glucuronide is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, Kaempferol 3-sophoroside 7-glucuronide has been detected, but not quantified in, garden onions and onion-family vegetables. This could make kaempferol 3-sophoroside 7-glucuronide a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods.
