| Common Name | 2''-Apiosylastragalin |
|---|
| Description | Kaempferol 3-[apiosyl-(1->2)-galactoside] belongs to the class of organic compounds known as flavonoid-3-o-glycosides. These are phenolic compounds containing a flavonoid moiety which is O-glycosidically linked to carbohydrate moiety at the C3-position. Thus, kaempferol 3-[apiosyl-(1->2)-galactoside] is considered to be a flavonoid lipid molecule. Kaempferol 3-[apiosyl-(1->2)-galactoside] is a very hydrophobic molecule, practically insoluble (in water), and relatively neutral. Outside of the human body, Kaempferol 3-[apiosyl-(1->2)-galactoside] has been detected, but not quantified in, chickpea and pulses. 2''-Apiosylastragalin is found in Chenopodium quinoa , Monnina sylvatica and Securidaca diversifolia . This could make kaempferol 3-[apiosyl-(1->2)-galactoside] a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. |
