Common NameEpoxyganoderiol B
DescriptionEpoxyganoderiol B belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. Epoxyganoderiol B is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, epoxyganoderiol b has been detected, but not quantified in, mushrooms. Epoxyganoderiol B is found in Ganoderma lucidum . This could make epoxyganoderiol b a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods.
