| Common Name | Lucidenic acid I |
|---|
| Description | Lucidenic acid I, also known as lucidenate I, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. Lucidenic acid I is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, lucidenic acid I has been detected, but not quantified in, mushrooms. Lucidenic acid I is found in Ganoderma lucidum . This could make lucidenic acid I a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. |
