Common NameGanoderiol A
DescriptionGanoderiol A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing 8 isoprene units. Ganoderiol A is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, ganoderiol a has been detected, but not quantified in, mushrooms. Ganoderiol A is found in Ganoderma concinna, Ganoderma lipiense, Ganoderma lucidum and Ganoderma sinense . This could make ganoderiol a a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods.
