Common NameGanoderic acid Y
DescriptionGanoderic acid Y, also known as ganoderate y, belongs to the class of organic compounds known as triterpenoids. These are terpene molecules containing six isoprene units. Ganoderic acid Y is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, ganoderic acid y has been detected, but not quantified in, mushrooms. Ganoderic acid Y is found in Ganoderma concinna and Ganoderma lucidum . This could make ganoderic acid y a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods.
