| Description | Humulenol I belongs to the class of organic compounds known as sesquiterpenoids. These are terpenes with three consecutive isoprene units. Humulenol I is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, Humulenol I has been detected, but not quantified in, herbs and spices. This could make humulenol I a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. |
