These are fatty acids with an aliphatic tail that contains between 13 and 21 carbon atoms. Pentadecenoic acid is found in Aloe africana, Arbacia punctulata, Cucumis melo, Hoya pottsii and Sideritis taurica. Pentadecenoic acid is a very weakly acidic compound (based on its pKa).
