| Common Name | Cavipetin A |
|---|
| Description | Cavipetin A belongs to the class of organic compounds known as acyclic diterpenoids. These are diterpenoids (compounds made of four consecutive isoprene units) that do not contain a cycle. Cavipetin A is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, Cavipetin A has been detected, but not quantified in, mushrooms. Cavipetin A is found in Boletinus cavipes and Suillus cavipes. This could make cavipetin a a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. |
