| Description | 2-Feruloyl-1-sinapoylgentiobiose belongs to the class of organic compounds known as hydroxycinnamic acid glycosides. These are glycosylated hydoxycinnamic acids derivatives. 2-Feruloyl-1-sinapoylgentiobiose is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa). Outside of the human body, 2-Feruloyl-1-sinapoylgentiobiose is found, on average, in the highest concentration within broccoli. 2-Feruloyl-1-sinapoylgentiobiose has also been detected, but not quantified in, brassicas. 2-Feruloyl-1-sinapoylgentiobiose is found in Brassica oleracea. This could make 2-feruloyl-1-sinapoylgentiobiose a potential biomarker for the consumption of these foods. |
