Description2-{[5,7-Dihydroxy-4-oxo-2-(3,4,5-trihydroxyphenyl)-4H-chromen-3-yl]oxy}-4,5-dihydroxy-6-methyloxan-3-yl acetate belongs to the class of organic compounds known as colensane and clerodane diterpenoids. These are diterpenoids with a structure based on the clerodane or the colensane skeleton. Clerodanes arise from labdanes by two methyl migrations. Myricetin 3-(2''-acetylrhamnoside) was first documented in 1999 (Fossen, et al.). 2-{[5,7-Dihydroxy-4-oxo-2-(3,4,5-trihydroxyphenyl)-4H-chromen-3-yl]oxy}-4,5-dihydroxy-6-methyloxan-3-yl acetate is an extremely weak basic (essentially neutral) compound (based on its pKa).
