These are organic compounds containing either anthracene-9,10-quinone, 1,4-anthraquinone, or 1,2-anthraquinone. It was first documented in 2012 (PMID: 22975278). Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on 1-hydroxy-3-(hydroxymethyl)-8-{[(2S,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-({[(2R,3R,4S,5S,6R)-3,4,5-trihydroxy-6-(hydroxymethyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}methyl)oxan-2-yl]oxy}-9,10-dihydroanthracene-9,10-dione (PMID: 34756847) (PMID: 34758548) (PMID: 34758547) (PMID: 34758546).
