Gamma butyrolactones are compounds containing a gamma butyrolactone moiety, which consists of an aliphatic five-member ring with four carbon atoms, one oxygen atom, and bears a ketone group on the carbon adjacent to the oxygen atom. henrylactone G is found in Illicium henryi. henrylactone G was first documented in 2013 (Liu, J.-F., et al.). Based on a literature review very few articles have been published on (1S,2S,3R,7S,8S,11S)-2,8-dihydroxy-3,7,11-trimethyl-5,12-dioxatetracyclo[6.6.0.0¹,¹¹.0³,⁷]Tetradecane-4,13-dione. |
