Description lycopodine is found in Austrolycopodium magellanicum, Dendrolycopodium obscurum, Diphasiastrum alpinum, Diphasiastrum thyoides, Diphasiastrum tristachyum, Huperzia lucidula, Palhinhaea cernua, Phlegmariurus filiformis, Phlegmariurus phlegmaria, Phlegmariurus varius and Pseudodiphasium volubile. It was first documented in 2019 (PMID: 30928888). Based on a literature review a significant number of articles have been published on lycopodine (PMID: 33804083) (PMID: 32941036) (PMID: 32914364) (PMID: 32009077).
